Float Fill
How should the float in the toilet tank?

We just moved to a new house and one of our toilets is still operating after the kindled. I think the problem is with the float, because the trap is working well and if you just dump the float a bit after the tank fills the toilet stops running. Does the float need to be adjusted and how you do it? I tried bending down the float and the float is now in the way of the trap …. However, when I move the floater out of the way, the same problem with the float is still there. Any ideas?

Yes, it seems that the float is too high. If it is the two piece style tower, you can rotate the upper right to lower the float. Or, if it is an old-style ball, just bend the bar down lttle one.
