Aquarium Chiller
Inlining a refrigerator with a cartridge filter?

I have a Fluval 404 filter cartridge in my 55 gallon aquarium that I use for mechanical filtration and chemistry. I would like to add a refrigerator in the system. Is it possible the cooling line to the filter so that I have nothing hanging on the back my tank. Or is it better to have a dedicated pump for the refrigerator. Conversion to a sink is out of the question at the moment.

I would say deticated pump, I looked Fluval 404 and GPH is only 340, most refrigerators will require more flow. So I bought another pump and plumb it in their own line. good point about the real magic of LPH world, but most of the coolers I llooked to have 500-600GPH big enough for cooling 55g. was my point, and are 100% correct, because the filter becomes clogged the pump less, another reason to have a bomb deticated
