Ornament Gifts

When my husband and I married, my mother-in-law introduced me
one of his favorite Christmas traditions. She has five
children, and for years has been collecting ornaments
each of their children so they can have in your collection
ornaments with them when they have their own families.

I decided started this tradition in our family. Each year
my daughter choose a new ornament for your own collection. Is
fun to see through all the ornaments age and see their
collection has grown. The variety of ornaments shows how your
tastes and interests have changed over the years.

It might think that girls would only be interested in collecting
Christmas ornaments. In fact my husband has lots of Christmas
decorations that really enjoy. He has several decorations
representing their favorite college football teams and the NFL. He
too many treasures ornaments memory of his mother has done
for him over the years.

A variety of ornaments you and your children can choose
from collecting. If you have the time and the desire to make them
You can buy many kinds of ornament kits in craft stores.
You can find pearl ornaments, ornaments felt,
ornaments made of canvas, plastic, and many others. This year I
finding Nemo felt ornament kit at Walmart. My kids love Nemo and
I it would be fun to do. They are turning out
nice, but it is taking much longer to make than I expected.
I may have to make next year! You can choose to
ornaments with your children. Earthenware ornaments are easy and fun for
do.

If you do not want to do ornaments, buying them can be fun too.
This year I bought my kids ornaments on a Christmas craft
show. They had ornaments clay made to look like Thomas the Tank
Engine that are absolutely adorable. It customized the
ornaments with their names and the year for free. Christmas
bazaars are a great place to find unique embellishments. Seek
ornaments while traveling. Many gift shops
ornaments you can buy to remind his favorite
vacation spots. EBay is also a good place to find ornaments.
Last year I bought an ornament on Ebay that had my husband
team favorite football in him. I had never seen another like it
this, and loved it.

As you can see, collecting Christmas ornaments can be fun for the
whole family. Each year, children are waiting to collect
their new ornament to put on the tree. Be sure to write
their names and year the back or bottom of the ornament
with a permanent marker so you can keep track of everyone
