Plant Ornament
By putting the fish in the tank again?

Hello, I have a 55 gallon fish tank I've had for over a year. And I have a fishbowl Yesteday six gallons to put my baby guppies! I cleaned the gravel, plants, ornaments, filters, hot water tank very well, I set my filter light fluroesecnt. I added few drops of liquid to get rid of chloring in tap water, and has been running for 24 hours. I was wondering if there is anything else I can do, I take a plant or an ornament for my 55 gallon tank in the 6-gallon tank of my good bacteria to get going? I set up my 55 gallon tank, but I'm not sure if baby guppies as tough as the older fish! Thanks and I would get all he could informationg:)

You are quite right to think of all this. The baby guppies are not as strong as adults. If you do not have to hurry to move, I suggest you do a dry cycle in the tank again. If you need to hurry, moving some things from the 55 would be a good idea, but will not help much unless you get a lot of bacteria there. Rinse the filter pad filter at 55 in 6 gallons would be a way to move a little fast bacteria. Just make sure the temperatures are quite close before doing so the bacteria alive. Simply rinse the tank really well and then wait for your 6 gallon filter collects most of the water and things move more babies. A plant or ornament not have much in bacteria, but it does not hurt either. Good luck with that and if I can help just send me an email. MM
