Rodi Filter
RODI filter changes How often?

I've had my RODI unit about 9 months. I'm getting all types of algae in my Salt Water Tank. My uncle says my fish store filters are good for one year. I'm trying to get to the reason for all the algae that is emerging in my tank. Thank You!

No, pre-filters a necessity for the RODI unit be changed at least every 6 months or more. The sediment filter should be changed as needed and depending on the amount sediment in your drinking water. The best way to measure this is with the pressure languages. But if you have no pre-filter change every 2 months or so to be sure. Carbon need to change at 6 months, when it is left to absorb the chlorine. Chlorine membrane eat more expensive. The di happens when you start to get any measurable reading TDS 3 or more.
