koi fish pond
what kind of salt you put in a koi pond?

Aquarium rock salt or non-iodized salt (such as a water softener) – 3% (up 6% O if you do not care that your plants are turning yellow / brown and / or death). That would be about 1 tablespoon per gallon (to reach 3%). I use indoors aquarium salt, but as I have a 3000 gallon outdoor pond can be a bit pricey. Water softener salt-works very well …. Hope this helps.
