making a koi pond

I have to admit they are biased. My favorite is the above ground pool. It has several advantages over conventional dirt in the pond. My koi pond is actually a hybrid, since it is partially lifted.

Less Work

Easier to configure

If you are concerned that your koi fish pond, stands out like a sore thumb not to be. Put a cover partially lifted around. With appropriate landscaping and hardscaping can make it look natural.

My pond is 2 feet on the ground and then above 2 meters. I banked against the walls of the filling of additional support and has created a planting area on one side almost to the level of the lagoon. The other side will a cover attached.

One of the advantages of one over the pond floor was discovered by chance that brings the koi and the nearest water for better viewing.

I hope this has given you some food for thought about above ground pools and help with building your koi pond.
