Aquarium Metal
How safe is my aquarium?

I just bought a glass aquarium 150 gallons, but I'm not sure if I should continue or not. It is made with very thick glass, and must weigh at least 400-500 pounds. But the position, which is metal, is hollow in the center, which means that there is nothing to support the fund glass. My plans are to put about 100-200 kilos of crushed coral in the tank, along with 200-300 pounds of decorative rocks. This, together with the weight of water, it seems it would be too heavy. I have a 2 year old boy, and I'm scared to have this at home. How safe is the reservoir, once in the cave or destroy? The post used and probably pretty old, but it has standing.

If you are unsure about this, then do not. nobody here can tell you how it feels respect. Do you have a box of large storage? Maybe send a group of local Freecycle or craigslist for a position. Many times people give them away, or sold for pennies on the dollar. Good luck, and again, if you are unsure, DO NOT DO IT!
