Red Lobster Cajun Shrimp Linguine


Linguine 1 pound, 1 / 2 cup chopped parsley, salt, black pepper, 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 tablespoon butter, 1 chopped white onion, 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped, 1 lbs – about 25 – shrimp (peeled and deveined, tails off), 1 / 2 teaspoon of leaves dried, crushed thyme, 1 / 4 teaspoon ground red pepper, 1 / 8 teaspoon pepper, 1 / 2 cup heavy cream, 2 tbsp tomato paste, sugar, lemon juice

    Recipe for 4 people. Make adjustments as necessary for larger amounts.

  1. Place shrimp in small bowl. Shrimp pepper powder, salt, pepper and thyme. Stir and let stand.
  2. Boil the pasta in a large pot of salted water until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving some of the pasta water.
  3. While the pasta boils, melt the butter in a skillet with olive oil over medium to medium high heat.
  4. Sauté onion until soft, 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add garlic and red pepper flakes. Shake for 30 seconds and do not let the garlic burn.
  6. Add tomato paste, heavy cream and a pinch of sugar. Mix ingredients and continue cooking until blended.
  7. Add shrimp and cook 2 minutes.
  8. Add pasta and stir, you can add reserved pasta water to moisten if necessary.
  9. Allow the shrimp to finish cooking, another 1 to 2 minutes. Not much. Add the parsley. Season to taste with additional salt and pepper, if desired. Remove from heat, squeeze lemon juice over the pasta and serve.
