External Canister
Can a crack in a jar to repair external filter?

our case, external filter has a crack that has just appeared in the bottom of the same on 2inches. Could it be that you have successfully repaired a water leak or do we have a new case

If it's just cracked and unless there is a hole in the bottom of the casing of the media you may be able to fix that using aquarium silicone sealants. To do this you will need to empty the filter and placing the biological filter (ie, sponge or ceramic balls or rings) in a bucket of old tank water. Then apply a generous amount of sealant into the crack and let it dry. It would also be a good idea to let the sealer cure for a day or two.
