Red Velvet Cake Recipe 1
Ingredients:
1 / 2 cup butter
2 eggs
2 1 / 2 cups sifted flour
1 1 / 2 cups sugar
2 oz red food coloring
1 tablespoon white vinegar
2 teaspoons cocoa
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 / 2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon of extract orange
Instructions:
Mix baking soda and vinegar on the side. Cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Make a paste of food coloring and cocoa. Add eggs to sugar mixture, then add butter and alternate with dry ingredients. Add vanilla, orange and almond extracts. Add vinegar and baking soda last. Bake in two 9-inch round pans at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Frost with cream cheese frosting.
Cream Cheese Frosting
Ingredients:
3 ounce package cream cheese, softened
Margarine 1 / 4 cup
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon milk
2 cups powdered sugar
1 / 3 cup pecans, finely chopped
Instructions:
Beat the cheese softened cream and margarine, add vanilla and milk, sifted powdered sugar and beat until smooth. Use 1 / 3 of the rime of frost between the 2 layers frost and top of cake with remaining frosting and allow to drizzle by the parties. Sprinkle nuts on top.

Ingredients:
Sugar 1 / 2 cup
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vinegar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cocoa
Salt 1 / 2 teaspoon
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup milk
2 1 / 2 cups flour
1 / 2 cup butter
1 / 2 to 1 teaspoon red food coloring
Instructions:
Cream sugar, butter and eggs until light, then add the food coloring. Add milk, salt, cocoa, baking powder, then add the flour. Add vinegar and baking soda, then vanilla. Mix all ingredients well and pour into round cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

1 cup milk
3 tablespoons flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup butter
Instructions:
Combine milk and flour and cook until thick. Let cool then cream with sugar and butter. Ice cooled cake.
