Led Beam

Lanterns were originally invented by Joshua Lionel Cowen in 1898, but not intended to be a portable lighting device. In contrast, Cowen design meant to be sold as decorative lighting to go with potted plants. Cowen did not have commercial success and eventually sold his company to Conrad Hubert.

Hubert hired an inventor to use the design for Cowen to create what is now known as the lantern or flashlight. To begin commercialize this new product, Hubert these gave the police officers in New York for use at work. These lanterns were very different from those we use today day. They could be used in short bursts of light due to the elements of power of the poor and the inability to maintain the current. In fact, this inability to maintain a light beam is where the name actually lantern came from!

The lamps first used incandescent bulbs, and many lights on the market today still use this type of lighting. One of the most popular brands is incandescent Maglite flashlight, which provides a beam of high power with many of their products. Of course, there are always those who want more than is available, and is a common hobby among enthusiasts of the flashlight to replace the sources of light or other parts of these products with articles which produces a beam of light much more powerful.

In addition to the incandescent bulb, the modern age has brought many more ways to create light. Probably the next most popular source of light between the headlights these days is the LED light. LED is emitting diodes light. The first LED flashlight on the market since 2001, and since the LED lighting is more efficient than incandescent, many manufacturers have been producing LED lamp from then. Besides increased battery life, LED lights also have the advantage of being harder than normal incandescent lighting, becoming the obvious choice for manufacturers looking to produce durable goods. For people who need a flashlight that can take a beating, LED lighting is a great choice, and can be found in brands such as flashlight, Surefire, and Pelican.

Another light source that has developed in recent years is the lamp of high intensity discharge or HID. An example of this type of bulb can be found in Surefire Hellfire Weaponlight. An HID bulb very resistant to shock and incredibly bright. In fact, the 3000 lumens generated by the Hellfire Weaponlight can brighten the objectives of several football fields away! HID Lighting has not made a big impact on consumer flashlights, however, because they are expensive and require large power sources, making them less portable lanterns standard hand.

In addition to the standard, commercial, such as flashlights Maglite, there is also an entire market devoted to high-end flashlights. These manufacturers provide special lights that are made of special materials are waterproof and provide a brightness much higher than the standard flashlight. These products are designed with specific uses in mind or charge, and can range in price from just over a hundred dollars to several hundred dollars! Some examples of high light end to include HID Litebox Streamline, a search light a million candles, and Surefire M6 Guardian, which is often used by police as a tactical light. These types of lights have been collected and marketed worldwide flashlight enthusiast. In fact, there is even an annual convention Lantern, and several museums dedicated to Complete the torches!

As the lantern technology, developed over the years, people came up with increasingly inventive ways to use this product, which means they have created more and more types of lanterns. For example, years ago someone came up with the idea of connecting the lights to helmets to be used in mining, and more recently, companies began to design tools that can be small lights attached to the head at the hands of free labor. In the century, artisans have been hanging lights, lights that can be attached to the wall or work space, and lights with flexible cylinders that can be wrapped around bars or other things. In the beginning development flashlight, the reflected light of the times, and some even seemed as flashlights. As you can see how lanterns have changed over the years with culture and technology, you can only wonder what the next generation of lights will be!
