Ironman Triathlon Holy Grail for endurance athletes

The Ironman is the most challenging of all triathlons. Triathlons come in different lengths. Triathlons Sprint is at one end of the spectrum (short) and the Ironman is at the other end (long). How is swimming in triathlon depends on which one:

* Sprint or Olympic Games – ½ mile swim Triathletes

* International – triathletes swim 93 miles

* Long – triathletes swim 1.2 miles

Or Ultra * Ironman – 2.4 mile swim triathlete

Triathletes used to swim past in an Ironman, but due to security reasons, now is the first event. The idea here is that exhaustion would be better distributed on the tarmac of what would be in the blue ocean.

Open water swimming pool different

Finding open water swimmers in a triathlon quite different from being in a pool. It is as different as riding a bike in a gym is out of cycling in a forested path. Or, have their own experience with the treadmill. It runs inside is different from running outside.

While most of us have played in the surf the beach, may have tried to swim competitively in a straight line distance to offset the current and watch over other swimmers. Most triathlons will not coasts where swimmers can dive alone will need to run at the point where you can swim. Some swimmers find their overwhelming experience to the point where they lose concentration and disoriented.

Training in the pool is a vital part of training for the Ironman. But do not let your training there. Sure to get some open water time as well.

Ironman training should focus on more strength training

Ironman training focuses on more than endurance training. When you are training for a triathlon event such as ultra long Ironman you're no longer in a program training, as well as its training program has become their life, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

Their training objectives depend their career goals. If you are an experienced triathlete, then probably your goals revolve around improving your time. If you are new to triathlons in general is likely who want to focus on finishing.

Training for the Ironman requires a long-term commitment

Make sure you do not forget to change your training, limiting their activities only to swimming, cycling and running. You should incorporate stretching and cooling to minimize injury while you train. You also must weigh an important part of their training, and consider some form of cross training to help balance the muscles.

When you are training for an Ironman, your training program must include training in a state of fatigue that your body gets used to such demands. Training for a marathon is one thing. Consider what the marathon will feel like when you're tired of your bath and cycling events.

Another important aspect of training for Ironman is his understanding and applying the nutrition of resistance. You should now be seen as an elite athlete, you can remain ignorant about nutrition and not expect a impact on performance.
