Way Brass
Please, is there an easy way to clean copper and brass very dirty?

I'm assuming the worst case is black bronze (hasn't been touched in years). Start with a paste made of baking soda and water, scrubbing the metal with a sponge. Remove the top layers of crud. If still bad, Use a white polishing compound (car polisher) to help reduce it, but leave small "zero" as marks on the metal surface. After that, Brasso will really bring out the shine.
